About Golden Dragon Elmwood

Chinese take out restaurant, also offering dine in tables, fast and friendly service, grand NEW opening since August of 2022.

Golden Dragon Elmwood is one of the chinese takeout listed in Buffalo, New York. The business is registered at 224 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14222; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Buffalo; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 AM–9:30 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Golden Dragon Elmwood at (716) 262-0342; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 102 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Buffalo follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We've been back to Golden Dragon twice very recently and were quite happy with most items. The menu is huge, so we expect we'll find a lot more to like. Their lo mein is totally different than when they first opened and I love it now. I got beef the first time, but it comes with very little, so I opted for vegetable the second time. Not a lot of vegetables throughout (mostly on top, as you can see in the photo), but it was really delicious! Both times the lo mein noodles were the perfect firmness and had great flavor. I want it again and again! Matt didn't enjoy his sesame beef. The batter is too thick, and the beef gets completely lost. I like that they will do sauce on the side. We like to toss it ourselves last minute so that it doesn't get soggy. Better for leftovers, too. They do charge an extra $1.50, but they give you a lot of the sauce. The wonton soup is amazing! A small is only $3.95 and it comes with five big pork wontons. Makes me happy because I get wonton soup cravings. I'll definitely be getting this again. The General Tso's Chicken is spot on. The pork egg rolls are good, your typical egg roll. The crab rangoons are also quite good. Their prices are great and t

I used to go to this place once, maybe twice a week. After this last time, no more. While eating my lunch there was rodent (probably mouse) droppings in my food. Thankfully I looked down and saw this stuck to my broccoli before putting it in my mouth. I know the owners respond to these reviews, but I will not be responding as I am completely done with this place. It's a shame because it was pretty good food. In response to the owner who just attacked me: You attack everyone that writes a bad review. I have dropped hundreds of dollars over the years ordering from here. To call my review β€œnonsense” instead of taking things seriously just shows the exact reason I did not call to complain. Just because you say you don’t have mice does not make it true. There was absolutely a mouse dropping in my food and even asked a couple people at my office and they all said that was exactly what it was.

I’ve been ordering the Singapore Chow Mai Fun for about 4 years now and it’s consistently been well seasoned, generous proportions of various meats, and fresh to order. Vegetables are clearly fresh as they are always crunchy but well cooked. Very accommodating and kind service.

SO GLAD I GAVE THESE GUYS ANOTHER SHOT! :D So (see old review below) I was in the same pickle as 3 years ago and besides, I *needed* some Asian takeout to cheer me up... So. One Gen. Tso's Combo ordered, (extra spicy / no broccoli) and did the pork Lo Mein upgrade but kept the pork egg roll. Also ordered some extra GT's sauce just in case. The food took a while to arrive (hospital deliveries are always annoying), but when it did... Oh. My. God, SO. MUCH. FOOD. :D Seriously, that tray weighed like 3 LBS and it was jam-packed with deliciousness! The chicken was nice and spicy (if a bit on the sweet side for me), the Lo Mein had plenty of tasty noodles and shredded pork, lots of Bok choi, shredded celery, carrot and onion and had the nice dark color that lets you know it WAS done in a real wok with some soy, hoisin and oyster flavor sauce and a nice 'Wok hei' ("breath of the wok") smell. Thumbs WAY up! :) The pork egg roll? Well, it's a pork egg roll - you already know how it tastes (it was fine). That extra sauce? they sent me a WHOLE PINT of it, LOL - and plenty of WY soy sauce, duck sauce and hot sauce :D TLDR: I'm already deciding what to get next Friday! That spicy Sichuan chic
